Recipe: Char Kuey Teow, my style

Assalamualaikum semua..

So, last week since most of my siblings (except nana in kelate nun) was at home, I was pretty sure that they'll definitely request something from me and................my lil bro did (expected doh!). As usual, before he went to boarding school, he used to request so many things until I felt burdened (masa tu je lah, skang dh tak...hiksss). Now, when everyone is away, far from home, I feel beyond happy when they request any food from my hand-water. Alhamdulillah, so far, they are my loyal and seriously honest food criticisers, too honest weyyy. Whenever I cooked something, they'll be the first to taste and they'll give comments. Kadang-kadang sampai sentap jiwa dgn komen dorang :).

My lil bro really loves char kuey teow or anything with soups and gravies (he really resembles me). And, suddenly he told me "Kak, boleh tak tolong masak your awesome gileerrr Char Kuey Teow?". I was like, "awesome ke?". And he replied " Ami boleh makan Char Kuey Teow tu banyak-banyak n hari-hari pon xpe". Amboi, cliche sungguh jawapan tuh, (tp dlm hati rse cm nk je peluk cium dy). Then, there goes my groceries hunting for my simple CKT at ECONSAVE. Tp syg, chives (daun kucai) xjumpe. I'm not really a fan of chives since dy punye rasa tu mcm pungent. Tp, never ever abaikan peranan chives when u deal with kuey teow. Kemon, chives ngn kuey teow tu dh mcm adik beradik, sebati jiwa rasa kot. So, JANGAN abaikan chives bila masak kuey teow. Again, JANGAN abaikan.

Here's the recipe:

Clockwise:
1) Kuey Teow la of course, name pon Char Kuey Teow
2) The secret sauce for the gravies (for those yg suke CKT berkuah sket)
3) Taugeh
4) Garlic infused oil
5) Udang (lagi besa lagi sedap, tp jgn over smpai pakai lobster)

Tiada dlm gambar:
6) Daun kucai
7) Telur

So, this is the gravy that I made myself since my family don't like those sell in the market. So, how to make this. Simple:

How to:
1) Panaskan minyak
2) Tumis cili giling (homemade cili giling taste better. Trust me!) sampai masak
3) Masukkan kicap pekat disertai air
4) Bile dah boiling, masokkan udang (supaya manis udang tu terasa sampai kat gravy dy)
5)Perasa with garam and a bit secukup rasa (optional)

DONE!

Yang ni pulak nme glamer dy GARLIC INFUSED OIL(GIO), padahal hanyalah chopped garlic ditumis dgn minyak supaya rasa minyak tu ad sket garlic-y. Nak guna oil biasa pon boleh, ikut sukati la. Nak awesome, ikut resepi sy, xnak awesome, xyah ikut (SENTAP x?)

Penggabungan membentuk CKT:

1) Panaskan kuali, msokkan GIO
2) Masukkan kuey teow disertai secret gravy ikut sukatan yang anda nak CKT anda look like
3) Masukkan udang and pcahkan telur. Kalu xnk terlalu bertelur, sebiji telur boleh buat 2 CKT.
4) Masukkan taugeh ( My family like the taugeh half cooked). Again, ikut citarasa masing2!

Then,

A homemade CKT terhasil!!.

Make sure kerang tu basuh elok2. Me very malas nak deal dgn kerang, so udang dah cukup. So simple kan? Anyone mengidam, boleh zassss beli bahan-bahan yang senang nk dpt n gong geng gong geng (bunyi kuali). Siap sudah. Selamat mencuba di dapur rumah sendiri (bkn dapo rumah sy tau).

Semoga bermanfaat
